Creating friendships: Shelley Geltzer (center), program director of active adult life at KleinLife, greets leaders and teen members of the Tzofim-Israeli Friendship Caravan prior to their one-hour musical and dance performance for members and invited guests in the newly renovated theater at the senior center at 10100 Jamison Ave. Joining Geltzer are (from left) Morey Smerling, a director of the Friends of the Israel Scouts of Delaware Valley; performers Noam Izhak and Eldar Herman; and Barry Kauffmann, a director of the Friends of the Israel Scouts of Delaware Valley. The Israeli scouts performed during a Philadelphia stopover as part of their 46th nationwide summer tour and the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the state of Israel.
