There is a new community relations officer at the 15th Police District, members of the district’s advisory council learned at their Sept. 30 session. Officer Keisha Jacobs, with the department since 1998, is replacing Officer Sharon Krause, who has been the 15th’s CRO for several years and is now the district’s Compstat officer.
The 15th Police District and its advisory council will conduct a gun buyback from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Holy Innocents Church, Tyson and Torresdale avenues. Anyone who brings in a gun will receive a $50 gift card for a local supermarket.
