District Attorney Seth Williams on Tuesday announced a 55-count grand jury indictment of a youth football coach with Northeast ties for the alleged sexual abuse of five boys and a disabled man.
Jurors returned to their talks this morning in the case against the Rev. Charles Engelhardt and former teacher Bernard Shero. They are accused of sexually abusing an altar boy at St. Jerome's parish in Northeast Philadelphia in the late 1990s.
On the heels of the conviction of a high-ranking Catholic church official, veteran attorneys and a victims' advocate encourage childhood sexual abuse victims to speak up.
