Police ID woman killed in SEPTA accident

Police have identified the woman killed in Friday afternoon’s accident involving two SEPTA buses.

Police said the accident happened about 12:13 p.m. Police and fire department medic units responded to the scene on the 7400 block of Roosevelt Blvd. (near Bleigh Avenue) in Rhawnhurst.

Police said a bus rear ended another bus, resulting in 14 injuries.

Four people were taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, three with minor injuries and a 38-year-old woman driver in extremely critical condition.

Medic units transported three people to Nazareth Hospital, two with minor injuries and another who died at 2:05 p.m. She was identified as Siu Nam Mak, 72, of the 1200 block of Kerper St.

Medic units also transported a few people to Albert Einstein Medical Center for minor injuries.
