The Frankford High School baseball team received their championship rings last week during a ceremony held at the Oxford Ave. school. The Pioneers claimed the Public League title after defeating Thomas Edison High School, 5-4, on June 2 at Richie Ashburn Field in South Philadelphia. The triumph was Frankford’s first Public League championship crown since 2008 and 16th in the program’s history.
