Damon Wayans has come a long way since his big break on ‘In Living Color.’ Nowadays, he’s busy touring the country, creating smartphone apps and writing a book.
One of the longest-running cast members of Saturday Night Live, comedian Tim Meadows crafted some of the series’ most memorable characters during his 10-year stint on the late night show.
He created some of the most memorable and inventive characters during his stint on Saturday Night Live, including Hanukkah Harry, Master Thespian, Annoying Man and one of his most popular, Tommy Flanagan, the Pathological Liar. Yeah! That’s the ticket!
“The main things to remember if you want to become a standup comic is to have lots of confidence in yourself and believe in what you’re doing,” said comic actor and Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan, set to appear Thursday to Saturday, Sept. 26-28, at Helium Comedy Club, 2031 Sansom St. in Center City. Of course, talent doesn’t hurt either, which is obvious in Kattan’s case. And for now, after decades of doing television and film, Kattan, 42, is concentrating on showing those talents as he does standup comedy in front of live audiences.
Kevin Nealon, an actor and comedian probably best known as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and more recently the hit series Weeds, will be at the Helium Comedy Club on Sansom Street Aug. 4 to 6.
