Sixty-three volunteers emerged from winter hibernation to take part in the Friends of Pennypack Park’s first monthly park cleanup of the year on March 22, removing 86 bags of debris from the park, along with large discarded items.
Thursday’s the big day, of course. Time to sit down with your loved ones, reflect on the good things in your life and then feast on the big bird.
Go with gold in honor of the children
Volunteers with the Friends of Pennypack Park removed 84 bags of trash, six bags of recyclable cans and numerous other loose items from the park in two cleanup events on May 28 and June 25.
Teenagers have repeatedly defaced the Thoreau’s Hut art installation in Pennypack Park with vandalism and trash.
