POLISH HARVEST FEST

The Polish Harvest Fest, Dozynki, will be held Sunday Oct. 23 from noon to 4 p.m. at St. Adalbert Auditorium, Thompson Street and Allegheny Avenue. OLDE RICHMOND MEETING

The Olde Richmond Civic Association will meet Tues., Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Cione Playground, Aramingo and Lehigh avenues. The Vacant Lots initiative will make a presentation about their group and ORCA members will take vote on lending support.

LOP FLAPJACK FUNDRAISER

The Ladies Of Port Richmond will host a Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast at Applebees, 2535 Castor Ave., on Sat., Oct. 22 starting at 8 a.m. The cost is $5 per person, and funds go toward breast cancer research.••

PORT RICHMOND TOWN WATCH

Please join Port Richmond Town Watch and PROPAC at their meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 7 p.m., at Samuel’s Recreation center, Gaul and Tioga.

Community interest items and zoning issues will be discussed. Representatives from the 24th Police District will be on hand to review the latest statistics.

JOAN OF ARC PARISH REUNION

The Annual St. Joan of Arc Parish Reunion will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23. All are invited to St. Joan of Arc Church, 3546 Frankford Ave., to begin the reunion with Mass at noon. A dinner will follow from 1–5 at the Casbah Caterers, located at Thompson and Tioga. Tickets are $40. Includes 4-hour open bar, hot buffet, sweet table and DJ. BRIDESBURG SOCCER AND BASKETBALL REGISTRATION

Registration for the 2012 indoor soccer program and basketball program is taking place every Monday and Wednesday (except Halloween) in October at the Bridesburg Rec Center, 4625 Richmond St. between 6–8 p.m.

No registration will be accepted after Oct. 26. The Travel team fee is $60, and the House League (ages 3–6) is $30.

Please bring a birth certificate and wallet size photo.

If your child was not registered for baseball, softball, rookie league, t-ball or outdoor soccer, you will also have to pay the $35 Family Membership fee.

BODINE HIGH SCHOOL MURAL AND GREENING PROJECT DEDICATION

Bodine High School for International Affiars, 4th and George streets, will host a mural unveiling on Oct. 20 from 3–5 p.m. The latest projects — Reading the Flow and chainlinkGREEN — center on a timely issue that kids want to talk about while transforming a civic space.

What resulted from this partnership is an innovative and environmentally conscious way to channel rain water, led by the Philadelphia Water Department; a trellis and seating structure that utilizes under-valued materials and repurposed asphalt from the garden construction and other sites, designed by Scott Shall of International Design Clinic; mosaic glass and painted murals that capture the theme of water both locally and globally, both poetically and factually, led by artists Beverly Fisher and Euhri Jones; and a new landscape featuring native foliage, designed by Anna Forrester of CityPlay.••

Kearny School Fall Fest

Kearny School, located at 6th and Fairmount streets, will hold a fall festival and flea market on Sat. Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Includes a fleamarket, face painting, food, and kids activities. Proceedes benefit Kearny School.••

Hancock Mural Dedication

Hancock Rec Center, Master and Hancock streets, will host a mural dedication on Oct. 25 at 1:30 p.m.
