St. Martha principal calls it a career

The St. Martha Elementary School class of 2021 graduated last Wednesday, marking the end of principal Karen Donofry’s 15-year tenure at the school and 40-year career in Catholic education.

Donofry formerly taught at St. Mark, in Bristol, St. Ephrem and St. Josaphat Ukrainian. She was vice principal at St. Anselm before her move to St. Martha.

The Rev. Jonathan Dalin, pastor at St. Martha, celebrated the graduation Mass. Kassidy Callahan, class president, addressed her fellow graduates. Patrick McCrossan, class vice president, delivered a tribute to parents. The graduates presented Donofry with flowers.

Donofry will be replaced by Tawanna Coates, who had been the eighth-grade teacher.
