The Lawncrest 4th of July Committee and Collins ShopRite presented ShopRite gift cards to the winners of the July 4 celebration raffle during the recent Lawncrest Community Association meeting.
Winners were Jesus Holz Aceud, Helen Swantek, Susan Bogush, John Jablonowski and Debbie Eck.
In other news from the meeting, the Philadelphia Protestant Home’s Bill Conaway invited the public to three upcoming concerts. The shows will be Aug. 11 (Belairs Doo Wop, featuring Dennis Gillen), Aug. 16 (Cardinal Dougherty Alumni Band) and Aug. 26 (Caribbean Fiesta). All shows start at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. PPH is at 6500 Tabor Ave.
State Rep. Mark Cohen and the Rising Sun Business Association will hold a senior health and youth expo on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., along the 6400 block of Rising Sun Ave. There will be a talent show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 215–342–2167.
Lawncrest Community Association will meet again on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. at St. William parish hall, Argyle and Robbins streets. ••
