Neighbors were particularly enraged to see parents drive the teenagers to the party site and pop their trunks so the kids could carry cases of beer into the woods. Some were seen carrying open cans while walking down the street. Calls to 911 were made, but police never responded.

The post-St. Patrick’s Day party took place on March 19, and some residents and city Department of Parks and Recreation staff cleaned up the mess the next day.

Many of the partiers wore green shirts, though some wore Father Judge shirts.

Neighbor Elsie Stevens said she might contact Judge president Brian King.

Trish Rosati, 8th Police District community relations officer, said she will check on the 911 calls, alert the captain and make a roll call complaint.

Neighbors said another problem is the lack of park rangers.

In other news from the Zoom meeting:

• The group observed a moment of silence for state Troopers Martin Mack and Branden Sisca and a civilian who were all killed by an alleged speeding drunk driver on I-95 in South Philadelphia.

• The 8th Police District, Academy and Red Lion roads, welcomes children to visit on April 9, from 10 a.m. to noon. The Easter Bunny and Elmo will be on hand, and kids will receive a treat.

• The civic association passed a resolution expressing its support for Ukraine and a hope for a peaceful end to the war.

• The group will finally have an in-person meeting on Wednesday, April 27, at 7 p.m. at St. Jerome Church, 8100 Colfax St. Candidates in the May 17 election will be in attendance. ••
