The FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the man responsible for robbing two Northeast financial institutions in less than two weeks.

At about 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, the man entered the TD Bank branch at 3930 Woodhaven Road. He approached a teller and presented a threatening demand note that referenced a gun. No weapon was produced or seen during the robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area of the bank and was last seen heading north on Knights Road.

The man is believed also responsible for the armed robbery on Oct. 18 of the Freedom Credit Union branch at 4900 Princeton Ave. At about 2:15 p.m., the man entered the credit union and approached the counter. He presented a threatening demand note to a teller, then lifted his sweatshirt to display a gun tucked into his waistband. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area of the credit union. He was last seen heading south on Tulip Street.

He is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6-foot tall and 180 pounds, medium build, with red hair and a red beard.

On Saturday, he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and black Eagles cap.

He wore a similar sweatshirt on Oct. 18, and a black brimmed hat with ear flaps.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about these robberies or this individual is urged to call the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215–418–4000. There is a reward for information leading to the man’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
