Members of the 15th Police District Advisory Council elected board members during their March 31 meeting at the Mayfair Community Center. Alan Leppert, of One Step Forward, is the organization’s new president. Joe Valecce of Council 21 Glassers was elected as the board’s vice president. Phil Pappas of the West Frankford Town Watch was re-elected secretary; Pete Specos of the Frankford Civic Association is back as treasurer; and Gina Panchella of the Northwood Civic Association again will handle public relations.
There will be no more free lunches in the 7th Police District Advisory Council. From now on, there’s going to be a little bit of work involved. Chairman Mike Myers delivered that message to 7th PDAC members during the group’s meeting on Feb. 20 at CORA Services.
A Northeast-based nonprofit can provide financial help to crime victims, the organization’s executive director last week told 15th Police District Advisory Council members.
State Rep. Ed Neilson joined members of the 8th Police District Advisory Council recently to recognize five members of the district as Officers of the Year.
