Matilda, Merida want to waltz into your lives

Matilda is a 2-year-old, 12-pound sweetheart with two legs but is able to walk and even run on her front legs.

Injuries left her incontinent of bowel and bladder. She wears a onesie with Poise pads to catch any leaking urine. She loves to run with the other dogs, play with toys and ride in cars. She can be walked on a leash and is crate trained.

Merida was saved during an ongoing trap-neuter-return project. She was found to be friendly, but scared, so she was brought into foster by Northeast Animal Rescue for extra attention to get her socialized. She was extremely shy, but is slowly coming out of her shell. She likes playing with spring toys and a turbo scratcher.

Merida has had some exposure to young children and has done well with them, sitting on their laps and being held, getting lots of attention. She will require a great deal of cuddling and patience as she adjusts to a new home.

Merida, 15 months old, is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.
