Gov. Tom Corbett and the governors of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland had declared Sept. 18 “ShopRite Partners In Caring Day.” City Councilman David Oh and state Reps. Kevin and Brendan Boyle participated at other Northeast Philly ShopRites. ShopRite Partners in Caring has donated $30 million to local food banks that support more than 1,700 charities with food assistance throughout the Northeast United States.
