Crossan Elementary School hosts annual career day

Kennedy Crossan Elementary School, 7350 Bingham St. in Burholme, recently hosted its annual career day.

Among the people who spoke to students were representatives from City Council offices, Acme and the Philadelphia Police and Fire departments.

Dion Betts, assistant superintendent for the School District of Philadelphia, thanked principal Lynne Millard and retired teacher and neighborhood activist Nancy Ostroff for organizing the event. Crossan has 375 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. ••
