St. James Church, 5185 Castor Ave., has been a destination for people of all ages and reasons over its almost 100 years in service. The preschool is one of many ministries with a long history at the church. Thousands have had their first school moments at the corner of Castor and Pratt. As a community church we are proud to have served Northwood and beyond for 50 years. We don’t want to miss this moment in time to celebrate this achievement. If you or your child attended St. James for preschool or you taught at the school, we invite you to join us for this special occasion, Sunday, Nov. 12, for brunch and sharing at 11:30 following our 10 a.m. service. Help us continue to be a part of families by sharing with them that we are still here to teach and provide a safe, loving and nurturing place for children to grow and learn. New families are invited to come and see what your young child can experience in our early childhood program. Our school provides quality enrichment, a private courtyard for scientific exploration, an indoor gym with purpose-driven activity and a large outdoor playground surrounded by nature. The 2023 school year has begun and we are accepting students ages 3, 4 and 5. We currently offer half-day and full-day school hours. Call for more details.

Visit our open house on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
