Friends, colleagues and family described David Kedra as the prototypical Pennsylvania State Police trooper — an alpha personality, hard-working, goal-oriented, physically strong, often quiet on the outside, but charismatically confident once you got to know him.
On April 2, 2014, Northeast Philadelphia lost an icon. Trina Thomas Losinno fought a courageous battle with cancer. She fought with gentleness and strength, just as she fought for education and inclusion for children and adults with disabilities, in our community, for the past 44 years.

The Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia presented Somerton resident Ruben David with its 2014 Outstanding Service to the Community Award on Feb. 14. The award recognizes an engineer who has over the course of his career provided professional and personal service above and beyond the call of duty to the Delaware Valley community. David was honored during Delaware Valley Engineers Week, which is part of a national engineering observance.
