American Heritage aids children and families in need

American Heritage Credit Union raised some $22,800 throughout the year through 23 fundraising programs hosted by the Adopt-A-Family Program. The funds are used to purchase gifts and essentials for individuals in need.

American Heritage’s Board of Directors also donated 22 ShopRite gift cards worth $700 for each family to cover grocery costs during the holiday season.

During the last 34 years, American Heritage’s Adopt-A-Family Program has raised more than $341,000 for local families and children in need.

Additionally, American Heritage’s business development team is partnering with Catholic Community Services to purchase gifts for 25 children who are a part of the agency’s child welfare services. In addition to the gifts, the Adopt-A-Family program donated $500 to purchase blankets and bedding essentials for these children.

“I am so proud of our associates and Board of Directors who come together each year to make the holidays special for so many local families,” said Bruce K. Foulke, American Heritage president and CEO. “Credit unions have always been about people helping people. I am thrilled that our American Heritage family has shown that it is always willing to give their time, energy and resources to brighten the lives of others. On behalf of American Heritage’s Board of Directors, employees and members, I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.”
