Chaput announces priest changes

Below are the changes in Northeast parishes and schools.

The Rev. William S. Murphy will be the new pastor at St. Martin of Tours. He will continue to minister at Mother of Mercy House in Kensington. The Rev. Mark S. Kunigonis, parochial vicar pro tem at St. Martin’s, will be a parochial vicar at Maternity BVM.

The Rev. William S. Lange, a parochial vicar at St. Katherine of Siena, will be the parochial administrator at St. James, in Elkins Park. The Rev. Michael J. Saban, a parochial vicar at Maternity BVM, will be the parochial administrator at St. Bernadette, in Drexel Hill. The Rev. David M. Buffum, who is newly ordained, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Katherine of Siena.

The Rev. William J. Chiriaco, pastor at St. Anselm, will join the faculty at Bishop Shanahan High School. Chiriaco will be replaced by the Rev. Anthony T. Rossi, who as a first-time pastor will have the title of parochial administrator for one year. Rossi is a parochial vicar at St. Joseph Parish in Downingtown. The Rev. Addisalem T. Mekonnen, parochial vicar at Nativity of Our Lord in Warminster, will have the same role at St. Anselm.

The Rev. Jason E. Buck, a parochial vicar at St. Eleanor in Collegeville, will join the faculty at Archbishop Ryan.

The Rev. Sean P. English, a parochial vicar at St. Christopher, will have the same role at Visitation BVM in Norristown. The Rev. Stephen H. Paolino, a parochial vicar at St. Anthony of Padua in Ambler, has been assigned to the same post at St. Christopher. ••
