For the Nutter administration, last Wednesday’s ceremonial warehouse demolition on North Eighth Street was an opportunity to tout the new “proactive” partnership between the city’s Fire Department and Department of Licenses and Inspection in dealing with large, vacant and dangerous properties.
The city is warning residents to be on the lookout for somebody posing as an inspector from the Department of Licenses and Inspections.
Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer as well as the end of summer break for many Northeast Philadelphia civic associations that will resume their monthly public meetings in September.
