In three hours, volunteers cleared out hundreds of pounds of refuse.

The haul included 52 bags of trash, 12 tires, three wheel rims, a refrigerator, a 55-inch TV, multiple pieces of furniture and three bikes.

The cleanup was organized by Eric Rosario, a graduate of Father Judge High School and Temple University.

The Friends of Poquessing Watershed does monthly cleanups and is always looking for volunteers. The next cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will focus on the stretch of woods across from Archbishop Ryan. Community service hours are available.
