A gunman held up a Burholme convenience store early on Sept. 11. The robbery occurred at 7-Eleven, 1435 Cottman Ave., at about 1:15 a.m. when an unknown man followed the store clerk into the business, pulled a gun and demanded cash. The clerk took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and gave it to the robber, who fled southbound through the store’s parking lot. No injuries were reported.
It’s road trip season for many people in Philadelphia. Whether you’re headed down the shore or someplace else for a little R&R with friends and family, one thing is certain — you will likely feel the pinch of rising gas prices at the gas pump.
