A Northeast native who practices chiropractic and holistic healthcare in Bucks County has joined the ranks of child advocates including Dr. Theodore Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss) and Dr. Benjamin Spock, as well as Nobel Prize winners Dr. Jonas Salk and Linus Pauling, as a recipient of the International Academy for Child Brain Development’s “Statuette with Pedestal” award for 2014.
It’s been six years since construction started on The Arbors at Eagle Pointe. More than half the homes still have not been sold, but the future looks brighter.
The signs on the sales office walls at The Arbors at Eagle Pointe say Westrum Development Company, but John Westrum is marketing something more vital than homes. He’s really selling consumer confidence — which he has to do, considering he’s sitting on the largest and most unsold residential construction project in the Northeast and perhaps the city.
The owners and operators of Bustleton Avenue businesses have organized, according to Sandi King of the city’s Commerce Department. And the goal of the new group, its president said, is to help its members prosper, grow and, most important, stay in Philly.
