Earlier in the day, Mroz attended the kickoff to the Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any police or fire station.

The police department is looking for anonymous tips. They can be submitted at www.phillypolice.com, tips@phillypolice.com or texted to 215-686-8477.

Mroz also promoted the Lawncrest Youth Council’s Halloween celebration on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at Trinity Church, Oxford, 601 Longshore Ave. The event is co-hosted by state Sen. Tina Tartaglione, City Councilwoman Cherelle Parker and state Rep. Jared Solomon. There will be a trunk or treat, music, arts and crafts, a costume contest, games and prizes. Admission is free, and costumes are encouraged. Email lawncrestyouthcouncil@gmail.com.
