PRCG to meet tomorrow
The Port Richmond Community Group will meet tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church Hall on Allegheny Avenue and Gaul Street. The group will discuss upcoming events and police officers from the 24th District will report on drug activity in Port Richmond. For more information, email PRCGhelp@aol.com. ••

Fishtown A.V.I. meeting tomorrow
Join the FNA tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Fishtown Rec. Center; the main speaker for the evening will be Marisa Waxman from the Office of Property Assessment (OPA), who will field questions about the Actual Value Initiative (AVI). The format of the meeting will be a moderated Q&A session, and neighbors are invited to submit questions ahead of time to AVIquestions@fishtown.org. Bring your assesment to the meeting. ••

Port Richmond Theatre Company presents "Guys and Dolls"
Check out the remaining shows of the stage classic at the Lithuanian Music Hall, 2715 E. Allegheny Ave.: Friday, March 22, at 8 p.m., special dinner show Saturday, March 23, at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 24, at 2 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance at 215-495-3015 or at www.tcpr.org. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and children.

SKCP Business Corridor clean up
Come help clean up Girard Avenue and other commercial pockets in South Kensington, on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to  2 p.m. Meet outside the SKCP office at 1301 N. 2nd St. Gloves, bags, tools, and coffee will be provided. Contact Dan at danharvesterskcp@gmail.com. ••

Port Richmond Tigers’ events
The Tigers will host a beef-and-beer benefit for “Big Joe” Ristine on Saturday, March 23 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Anthony’s Café, Oxford Street and Girard Avenue. Enjoy lots of prizes and an auction. The Tigers will also host a free carnival from Tuesday, March 26 through Easter Sunday, March 31 at the old Northeast Hospital parking lot, Tulip Street and Allegheny Avenue. Lure Salon Cut-a-Thon for Matty Holmes
On Sunday, March 24, join neighbors and friends at Lure Salon, 3247 E. Thompson St., for a Cut-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., to benefit the Matty Holmes Scholarship Fund. Kids cuts are $5, teens are $15, adults are $20, includes haircuts only. ••

Fishtown chili cook-off
The Fishtown Neighbors Association is hosting its third annual chili cook-off on Sunday, March 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 2424 Studios, 2424 E. York St. Ten amateur Fishtown contestants will be joined by entries from last year’ winner, Loco Pez, and many local restaurants. Beer by Philadelphia Brewing Company and Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company. Come and cast your vote alongside food blogger Drew Lazor and Radio 104.5’s Wendy Rollins. Admission is $15, tickets can be purchased in advance (via Paypal at www.fishtown.org) or at the door. FNA pint glasses are available with advance purchase for only $3. A $10 ‘chili-only’ admission will be available at the door. ••

Ladies of Port Richmond bus trip
Join LOPR on Sunday, March 24 for a bus trip to the Showboat Atlantic City Casino. Cost is $30, but you’ll get $20 back. Bus leaves from Campbell Square at 11 a.m. Call Mary Lou at 215-427-3222 for tickets. ••

PAL Red Cross blood drive
Donate blood on Friday, March 29 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the Rizzo PAL Center, Belgrade and Clearfield Streets. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted. American Legion Good Friday fish fry
Feast at the Elm Tree Post No. 88 on Friday, March 29  at 33 to 7 p.m., at 1414 E. Palmer St. There will be flounder platters, fish cake platters, combo platters and fish cake sandwiches. Eat in or take out is available. For more information, contact Samuel Kahuila at 215-510-1753. ••

PRCG neighborhood clean up
The Port Richmond Community Group is sponsoring a clean up project on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Aramingo Avenue to Janney Street and Allegheny Avenue to Ann Street. The city will supply trash bags, brooms, rakes, gloves and shovels. Trash from the clean up will be picked up at the corner of each of these streets. Supplies will be picked up at the corner of Tulip and Clearfield Streets at start time. ••

MDG ‘Night at the Races’
Join your neighbors at Mother of Divine Grace, Thompson and Cambria streets, for a fun-filled night of entertainment and indulgence on April 13 at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.) The night will include games of chance, poker, raffles and other card games. Tickets are $5 and include food. For tickets or information, call Frank Valentino at 267-408-4926. ••

EASTER EVENTS

Easter candy at Bethesda United
Bethesda United Methodist Church, 2820 E. Venango St., will sell homemade Easter candy on Saturday, March 23, and Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.Candy for sale includes butter cream, coconut, peanut butter and chocolate Easter eggs, plus lollipops and chocolate ducks and lambs. Call 215-739-7399. Candy will be available for sale also on Monday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. ••

Easter egg hunt at Penn Treaty Park
The Friends of Penn Treaty Park will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m., at Penn Treaty Park. Don’t forget to bring a basket or bag for your eggs. ••

FACT’s Easter party
Fishtown Action will host its annual party with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m. at Holy Name Church Hall, 701 Gaul St. Make your own ice cream sundae, and bring a camera for your photos. Admission is $2. ••

Powers Park Easter egg hunt
Powers Park is having an Easter egg hunt for children under 10 on Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. Registration is required at the Richmond Library, $2 per child. Bring you own baskets and camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny. There will be prizes, games, music, pizza and a bake sale. Donations for bake sale would be greatly appreciated and you can bring that morning. Rain date March 30. ••

Easter egg hunt at Frank Glavin
Frank Glavin Playground, 2600 Westmoreland St., invites children aged 2 to 8 years to attend its yearly Easter egg hunt, on Thursday, March 28 from noon to 1 p.m. Pre-registration at the playground office, no later than Monday, March 25, is required. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will also be available during the event for a $4 fee. Refreshments will also be available for sale. ••
