Students raise funds for cancer

The George Washington High School National Honor Society raised $2,200 for a breast cancer charity during a recent Walk For a Cure in the football stadium.


Cancer benefit raises $3,400

The recent Judy’s Answer for Cancer 2.5K Walk/Run raised $3,400 for Fox Chase Cancer Center. The event, held in memory of Judy Sabatina, took place in Pennypack Park, which was decorated with balloon gateways at the entrance. About 100 people participated, and they had the opportunity to tour the Fox Chase mammography van.

Blanket donations warm hearts

State Rep. John Sabatina Jr. (D-174th dist.) thanks the community for its donations of blankets and thermal underwear for St. Francis Inn Ministries, a Kensington-based charity that serves the poor and homeless.
