Providing nourishment

Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter School hosted the 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast on Monday. Members of the community enjoyed a free breakfast along with youth performances and community information. 


Ironworkers boss found guilty

A federal jury on Tuesday convicted former Ironworkers boss Joe Dougherty of using his Northeast Philadelphia-based local to intimidate contractors into using union labor and violently retaliating against them if they didn’t.
