Northeast teams to meet in softball championship games

It is indeed a busy time for spring student-athletes, as many of them are preparing for graduation and attempting to win a championship at the same time. With so much happening all at once, here’s an update on where some area high school baseball, softball and lacrosse teams stand with the seasons reaching their endpoints:

Rogers steps down after 15 seasons as Ryan boys hoops coach

Bernie Rogers came to Archbishop Ryan in his early teens and stayed into his 40s. It’s the only place he’s ever known, but a simple desire to teach and coach in the same building led the longtime Ryan boys basketball coach to seek another challenge.
