Mia was an emaciated waif of 25 pounds. She is now 39 pounds and loving life.

Mia loves to run around with her male doggie friend but she is also an A-plus snuggler.

Mia’s perfect home would include adults only or older children and not include cats.

Astrid is a timid little girl but can’t help purring the minute she is petting and loved. She was rescued as a stray kitten looking for food in the city and is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue.

Astrid will need an experienced owner who will give her time to blossom. She enjoys playing with lots of cat toys and wrestling with her foster buddy, Oolong. She is good with cats and older children, but hasn’t been around dogs.

Astrid, 10 months old, is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.
