Solomon brings AG campaign to Lawncrest

Jared Solomon

State Rep. Jared Solomon discussed his campaign for state attorney general at Thursday’s Lawncrest Community Association meeting.

Solomon is one of five Democrats running in Tuesday’s primary. He said he’s running to help create “safe, thriving neighborhoods” across Pennsylvania.

His campaign themes are investment, enforcement and protection from special interests.

“I’ll take that to all 67 counties,” he said.

As a state representative, he said he helped open a new 2nd Police District building on Castor Avenue and assisted in PATH’s move to Castor and Cottman avenues. He also opposed the building of a Royal Farms at Rising Sun and Longshore avenues, and continues to hope a Police Athletic League program moves to the site.

As AG, he’d address gun violence and help make the office work on tangibly improving people’s lives.

In other news from the April 18 meeting:
