Civic group hosts community day

Holmesburg Civic Association on Saturday held its annual Community Day at the Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion, 8046 Frankford Ave. The day included free admission to the Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion, a magic show, face painting and live music.

The office of City Councilman Bobby Henon distributed water ice. Other treats were Factory Donuts and Jewish apple cake delivered by Dining Car owner Nancy Morozin.

Among the guests was Patty-Pat Kozlowski, Republican candidate in the 177th Legislative District. ••
