Lilac and Neo are friendly

Pretty Lilac arrived at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control as a stray in early April and instantly became a volunteer favorite. Shortly after arrival, Lilac came down with pneumonia and it was also discovered she was battling mast cell cancer. Thankfully, an awesome foster stepped up and has been giving Lilac a comfy place to recover. After a mass removal and some good meds, Lilac is officially cancer free and 100% healthy.

Lilac has been the best house guest. She hasn’t had a single accident in the home, she’s crate trained and great on leash. She is also the perfect passenger in the car and loves every person she meets. She is very smart and knows sit, shake, speak and roll over. Lilac is dog friendly and has had good meets with both male and female dogs. She is a perfect 10/10.

Sadly, Lilac’s foster was only a short-term commitment so this good girl is headed back to the shelter soon if she can’t find a new foster or adopter. If interested in learning more about Lilac, email her shelter buddy Elaina at elaina.tancredi@gmail.com. ••

Neo is a beautiful male Syrian hamster with longhair. He found his way to Northeast Animal Rescue when his family thought he needed more than they could provide him. He is super friendly and wants to find his forever retirement home.
