Manor College community vaccinated

Dozens of members of the Manor College community recently received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Members of the community 12 and older were eligible to receive the first dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine thanks to a partnership between the college and Walmart.

“We wanted to support the community by being an accessible, open location for vaccine distribution in an effort to get as much of our Manor family vaccinated as possible,” said Allison Mootz, vice president and dean of student affairs.

Those receiving the vaccine ranged from 12 to 84 years old. Two people traveled from Germany to visit family in Pennsylvania and came to the clinic to receive their shot.

Those who received the first shot will return to the college for their second dose on June 9. ••
