A GoFundMe page, “In Memory of Kevin Humes,” has been established to aid the family of Humes, a Northeast native who was murdered in Atlanta.

Some of the funds will also be used for a reward to catch his killers.

According to the page and Atlanta media reports, Humes was shot just after midnight on Saturday, May 16, in the Buckhead neighborhood. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness reported two males in a car, with one saying, “Get him.”

The fundraising page said Humes was out for dinner and drinks with friends and decided to walk home instead of taking Uber due to the pandemic.

Humes, whose family lives in Winchester Park, moved last August to Atlanta after earning a promotion from UPS.

The GoFundMe page quickly surpassed its goal of raising $20,000.
