A 44-year-old man was killed after his car collided head-on with another vehicle Friday night in Bustleton, police said.
The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. at Bustleton Avenue and Welsh Road. Police said the man was driving northbound on Bustleton at a high rate of speed as another car heading southbound was trying to make a left on Welsh.

Witnesses told officers that the man did not have his headlights on, according to authorities.
After the collision, his car hit a light pole, police said. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity was not released.
Two people from the other car were taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with minor injuries. ••
