State Rep. Jared Solomon endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg, praising his track record as a leader, his commitment to veterans and ability to defeat Donald Trump.
“Mike is a trusted, pragmatic leader who will always put the interests of our nation first,” Solomon said. “Mike has a record of supporting veterans and their families. As president, Mike will address the urgent health and housing needs of our servicemembers, military families and veterans. Mike will ensure the economic security of servicemembers and their families. His policies provide a pathway to success in the private sector.”
Solomon (D-202nd dist.) is a U.S. Army Reserve JAG officer who authored House Bill 1231, which expanded the existing Department of Military and Veterans Affairs registry’s reach by bringing other agencies into the process of identifying veterans who stand to benefit from access to services.
Bloomberg’s Veterans and Military Families plan is intended to improve the economic security and health needs of veterans. The plan addresses high suicide rates and mental illness, access to care and the homeless epidemic. ••
