American Chinese United Association donates PPE to Protestant Home, funeral homes

The American Chinese United Association last week dropped off donations of personal protective equipment at the Philadelphia Protestant Home, 6401 Martins Mill Road.

Ptrotestant Home president and CEO Anthony Manzo and staff accepted donations of surgical gloves, hand sanitizer, masks and gowns, while awaiting a back order of infrared thermometers.

N95 masks were also picked up by representatives of McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations, 6126 Torresdale Ave., and Joseph Levine & Sons funeral home.

The donations were coordinated by state Rep. Jared Solomon and Jason Lam, chairman of the American Chinese United Association, which has also donated to churches, hospitals and the police department. ••
