Detectives name Northeast's most wanted (October 24, 2012)

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northeast Detectives Division is seeking the public’s help in locating the following most-wanted suspects in connection with crimes in the Northeast: 

• Joseph James, 17, is wanted for robbery and related offenses.

On June 2, James and two accomplices allegedly beat and robbed another man along the 1600 block of Grant Ave. The victim told police that he was walking down the street at 9:42 p.m. when he was attacked without warning.

James allegedly knocked the victim to the ground and held him as the others took the victim’s wallet. Police did not disclose any injuries suffered by the victim, who recognized James.

James is white, 6 feet tall and about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and may have his last name tattooed on one of his forearms. He is known to frequent the area of 1400 Unity St.

• Lamont Alexander, 30, is wanted for aggravated assault and related offenses.

On June 26 at about 12:40 p.m., Alexander and an acquaintance were inside the woman’s home when they began to quarrel. Alexander allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked the woman with it. The victim attempted to deflect the knife with her hands and feet and suffered a stab wound of the foot.

Alexander fled the scene as the woman called 911. She was hospitalized as a result of her injury.

Alexander is black, 6 feet 1 inch tall and about 185 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and is known to frequent the area of 4400 Howell St.

• Lamar Doctor, 32, is wanted for aggravated assault and related offenses.

On Sept. 11 at about 8 p.m., Doctor and an accomplice allegedly quarreled with and beat up another man on the 4700 block of Howell St. Police did not disclose a motive for the attack, during which Doctor allegedly punched the victim in the face and head, forcing him to the ground. Doctor and his accomplice then kicked and stomped the victim, who lost consciousness, police said.

The victim was hospitalized for treatment of his injuries.

Doctor is black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 165 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and is known to frequent the area of 4200 Frankford Ave.

• Yolanda Fife, 44, is wanted for aggravated assault and related offenses.

On April 4 at about 7 p.m., Fife and a woman acquaintance were inside the woman’s residence when they began to quarrel. Fife allegedly attacked the other woman with a pair of scissors and punched her repeatedly in the face and head.

The victim suffered cuts and bruises to her face, head, hands and arms and was hospitalized for treatment. Fife fled the scene.

Fife is black, 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 145 pounds. She has brown eyes and, in a prior arrest photo, had blond hair, although her natural hair color is black or brown. She is known to frequent the area of 2700 Rhawn St.

• John Land, 31, is wanted for burglary and related offenses.

On Feb. 27 at about 6:30 a.m., a resident of the 7700 block of Rockwell Ave. reported that someone had broken into his house when he was not there. The victim’s laptop computer and jewelry had been stolen.

Investigators later identified Land as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for him.

Land is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is known to frequent the area of 5000 Barton St. ••
