Give Bully a pulpit
Bully is a sweet, round-headed, 5-year-old American Staffordshire terrier who is available for adoption at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A16363307.
The dog weighs 50 pounds and is built like a teapot — short and stout. He’ll need to meet other dogs in a family before being adopted because of his pushy play style.
Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••
Amore is a 1- to 2-year-old tabby who was found starving and wandering at a flea market.
The cat literally jumped into the arms of a Forgotten Cats volunteer. He is loving and well behaved and great with other pets and children. He would make an exceptional lap cat or cuddle kitty.
Amore is neutered and vaccinated, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses. He is in foster care via Forgotten Cats.
To apply to adopt Amore, visit www.petfinder.com/shelters/PA586.html or go to the PetSmart at 901 Old York Road in Jenkintown. ••
Morgan’s a survivor
Northeast Animal Rescue in May came across a litter of newborn kittens in a dog house, with no mom to be found.
The organization took the kittens into foster care and bottle-fed them. Sadly, Morgan was the only survivor, but she’s a fighter and is doing well. She’s playful and energetic and ready for a permanent home.
Morgan is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
