The FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the man responsible for the burglary Tuesday morning of the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 6420 Frankford Ave.

At about 5:57 a.m., the man used an unknown weapon (possibly a shovel) to break glass on the bank’s exterior and enter the building. After attempting to get into a safe behind the teller counter and damaging several computer screens and file drawers, the man fled the bank empty-handed.

He is described as in his early 20s, wearing a black and gray jacket, dark-colored pants, white shoes and a black and white bandanna around his head. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about this burglary or the suspect can call 215-418-4000.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the man’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous. ••
