Stack supporting Domb in mayoral race

Former Lt. Gov. Mike Stack last week endorsed Allan Domb for mayor.

Stack made the announcement at Domb’s satellite field office on the 8400 block of Torresdale Ave.

A former state senator, he spoke to campaign workers as they prepared to go door to door with Domb literature.

In Stack’s view, the election will be close and a personal touch from campaign workers at voters’ doors will be key.

Stack praised Domb for being a self-made man, not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, who donated his City Council salary to schools. He credited the candidate for promoting an “entrepreneurial vision” that will allow high school students to work one day a week, a program that Domb hopes leads to a good-paying career with little or no school debt.

Stack said Domb knows the streets, talks to people and has a vision to make Philadelphia a “shining city on the hill.” He said Domb will be good for Northeast residents who often feel overlooked by city government.

“Allan Domb gets it all the way,” he said. “His heart is absolutely in the right place.”

Stack said Domb will fix potholes and not raise taxes. He described him as being “pro-cop” and having a focus on decreasing carjackings and murders.

“Allan Domb has a comprehensive plan to keep people safe,” he said. ••
