Local ‘Johns’ arrested in prostitution bust

Twelve Northeast residents were among 44 men arrested by Philadelphia police in a series of prostitution stings between April 28 and May 22.

In each instance, the alleged “Johns” offered cash to undercover officers in exchange for the promise of sex, police said. Each suspect was arrested on charges including patronizing prostitution and solicitation. Police seized at least 24 vehicles and about $8,700 cash.
