Local boxer knocks out opponent

Tacony heavyweight Joey Dawejko needed just 27 seconds last Friday to knock out Enobong Umohette in a boxing match at 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

Dawejko is now 14–3–2 with seven knockouts after landing a hook that sent Umohette face first to the canvas.

In the main event, junior lightweight Jason Sosa defeated Bergman Aguilar in the fourth round when Aguilar could not continue after breaking his jaw and spitting out blood and teeth.

In other bouts, lightweight Victor Vasquez knocked out Jose Guzman in four rounds.

Welterweight Keenan Smith knocked out Malik Jackson in three rounds.

Junior middleweight Jeff Lentz earned a six-round unanimous decision over Fred Jenkins Jr.

Lightweight Jerome Conquest captured a four-round unanimous decision over Kevin Garcia.
