Cancer patient food pantry opens at Jefferson Torresdale

A patient food pantry recently opened at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.

The food pantry opened through the support of W.W. Smith Charitable Trust, McMenamin Family ShopRite Stores and Ernest Bock & Sons Inc.

The Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Torresdale offers a dedicated food pantry to support patients during treatment so that nourishment is never a factor that stands between them and their healing.

The food pantry is stocked with high-protein, highly nutritious foods to support patients with special or specific dietary needs, and is managed and operated by an oncology dietitian and oncology social worker. ••
