Local Boy Scouts Honor September 11 victims

Never forget: Boy Scouts Troops 160 and 226 last week held a ceremony to remember the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony took place at the World War I memorial at the Five Points intersection of Cottman, Oxford and Rising Sun avenues in Burholme. The event featured candles, singing of God Bless America, a playing of Taps and a performance by the Philadelphia Police and Fire Pipes and Drums. The Brehant family joined the Scouts in holding the annual remembrance. Among those in attendance was City Councilman Al Taubenberger.
