Since its opening in 2009, this is the first property-wide expansion. Xlounge will feature cocktail and craft beer offerings, a high-end menu, design finishes and additional gaming.

The expanded new gaming floor will feature over 3,500 slot machines and more than 200 live table games. As part of the development, Parx will introduce 700 new slot games in addition to a series of new live dealer table games such as Shaquille O’Neal’s Shaq Blackjack, with $5 minimum live wagers.

The approved expansion plan increases Parx Casino’s blueprint to total 176,592 square feet of gaming floor.

“As one of the nation’s top casinos, we pride ourselves in offering our guests a superior gaming and entertainment experience,” says Anthony Faranca, general manager of Parx Casino. “It’s always important for us to deliver an exceptional customer experience — and equally important to offer the highest-quality gaming and exciting amenities.”

Parx Casino is owned and operated by Greenwood Racing Inc.

The venue offers, among other things, live horse racing and simulcast action; Parxgrill, an upscale restaurant; a food court; Chickie’s & Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar; a bar and live music venue; and a sports bar.

There is complimentary parking for over 5,000 cars.
