Marco, Scarlett want new homes

Marco enjoys short walks and long naps. While he does have bursts of energy, he’s overall pretty low key. Marco loves his blue dragon stuffy and will bring it everywhere. He’s great on a leash, but does get excited when he sees other dogs. He’s done well with other pups at the shelter. In addition to some pittie skin allergies, Marco is bowlegged, which makes him look extra cute. To hear more, email adoptions@morrisanimalrefuge.org.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia residents are invited to bring their dogs and cats to a vaccination clinic hosted by Philadoptables, Morris Animal Refuge and Philly Auto & Parole. The clinic will be held on Sunday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Philly Auto & Parole, 5224 Woodland Ave. The cost is $20 for vaccines and a flea and tick prevention microchip. For more information, email info@philadoptables.org. ••

Beautiful Scarlett was living in a North Philly alleyway after she was abandoned by her family. She is a sweet and low-key girl who loves laser pointers and sunbathing. She is good with other cats, although new friends and a new place can intimidate her. But with some time and love, she will settle in quite well.

Scarlett is good with older children and cats, dogs unknown.

Scarlett, 2, is spayed and up to date on vaccines, and tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.
