Flag exhibition at American Revolution museum

Betsy Ross was at the Museum of the American Revolution last Thursday.

The Museum of the American Revolution, 3rd and Chestnut streets, presents Flags and Founding Documents, 1776-Today through Sept. 6.

More than 40 rare American flags are on display, along with historic documents, including early printings of state constitutions and rare printings of the Bill of Rights and the proposed U.S. Constitution of 1787.

Most of the flags are on loan from antique collector Jeff Bridgman.

Visitors will be given an activity guide and have a chance to make their own flags using felt.

The 5,000-square-foot exhibit, presented by American Heritage Credit Union, is included with regular museum admission. Call 215-253-6731 or visit amrevmuseum.org. ••
