Reward offered in Wells Fargo robbery

The man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 6420 Frankford Ave. on Aug. 3.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the capture of a man responsible for last week’s robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 6420 Frankford Ave.

The FBI/Philadelphia Police District Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the man responsible for the Aug. 3 robbery.

At about 4:35 p.m., the man entered the bank, approached the counter and presented a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area of the bank.

The suspect is described as black, in his late 30s to early 40s, about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, full beard and dark complexion. He was wearing a bright yellow construction vest over a black long-sleeve shirt and heavy black work overalls, dark sunglasses and a black and camouflage-print baseball cap with “Snap-on Racing” in red across the front.

This man is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or the subject is urged to call the Violent Crimes Task Force at 215–418–4000.
